What is ERRC system?

Why it’s so important?

“The hero is the man who lets no obstacle prevent him from pursuing the values he has chosen.”

Dennis Smith

The specific process to install an ERRC  system can vary depending on the size and complexity of the building, as well as the specific requirements of local jurisdictions and codes. However, the following is a general overview of the steps involved in installing an ERRC system:

The first step is to conduct an assessment of the building to determine the requirements for the ERRC system. This may involve evaluating the building’s layout, construction materials, and other factors that may impact radio coverage. Based on this assessment, a plan is developed for the ERRC system that meets the requirements for coverage and reliability.

Once the plan is developed, detailed engineering and design work is performed to create a blueprint for the ERRC system. This includes specifying the components of the system, determining the layout of antennas and amplifiers, and designing the necessary infrastructure to support the system.

The next step is to install the ERRC system components in the building. This includes installing antennas, amplifiers, cables, and other equipment as specified in the engineering and design phase. The installation is performed by qualified technicians and is typically done in phases to minimize disruption to building occupants.

After the system is installed, it must be thoroughly tested and commissioned to ensure that it meets the requirements for coverage and reliability. This involves testing the system in various scenarios, such as during normal use and in emergency situations, to ensure that it provides clear and reliable communication for first responders.

Once the ERRC system is commissioned, it must be maintained and monitored to ensure that it continues to operate effectively. This includes periodic testing and inspection of the system components, as well as monitoring of the system to detect and resolve any issues that may arise.

Installing an ERRC system is a complex process that requires careful planning, design, and installation by qualified professionals. Building owners and managers should work closely with their chosen ERRC system installer to ensure that the system meets the specific requirements of their building and local jurisdiction.

materials that you need including the all of the ancillary products such as splitters, combiners, antennas, cable and battery-backup and install the whole system for you.

I am a building owner in Arizona, what does this mean to me?

In the state of Arizona, many jurisdictions now require that buildings install a system that will ensure that Public Safety radios will work in specific buildings.

It means that you need to ensure enough fire department radio signal exists inside your building. A qualified company can evaluate the signal for you by doing what us called a Site Walk. They will review the entire building and give you a plan, explaining what is needed.

What are my next steps?

Contact us or the local fire department to speak with the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) to find out how and if they are enforcing the code in your area.

If your radio coverage is not adequate,  we will help you prepare a plan and file for permits before the deadline.

What is RF mapping?

Radio Frequency mapping or RF mapping is a graphic representation of how radio frequency RF signals are spread in a certain area. This process is accomplished by RF mapping tools such as software, measurement equipment, and antennas.

The cost of installing and maintaining and ERRCS

In disastrous moments, first responders must be able to communicate with each other. Because an ERRCS system renders the communication between emergency responders reliable and secure.
